In the third text this month, we will address the lack of routine, one of the factors that can contribute to a lack of self-discipline.
Lack of routines means the absence of a structured routine in people's lives, which can result in challenges in effectively allocating their time to tasks and responsibilities, increasing the likelihood of experiencing more chaotic or unproductive days.
This lack of routines may also contribute to other unwanted consequences in people's emotional field, namely feelings of regret and dissatisfaction; When remembering missed opportunities, unachieved goals and unrealized potential, people may be confronted with feelings of regret and dissatisfaction with life in general.
"What you do every day matters more than what you do once in a while." - Gretchen Rubin
One possible solution - in some ways obvious - is to actually develop routines. Establishing daily routines can help people automate habits that promote their goals and objectives, which also helps to reduce the need to depend - almost exclusively - on willpower (which is intermittent), in addition to making self-discipline easier over time.
Even if this possible solution is implemented successfully, in essence, it must be considered that the existence of unclear priorities, that is, the fact that people do not know how to distinguish what is really important, can lead to an approach dispersion of tasks and goals, which can cause a dilution of the efforts made and, therefore, continue to undermine the self-discipline that they want to achieve.
It is important to keep in mind that everything that contributes to improving self-discipline is essential, because it is crucial for people to be able to complete tasks, meet deadlines and achieve goals.
And, consequently, factors such as persistence and determination are strengthened, which leads people to improve their performance and progress, whether in academic or professional contexts.
Author's note: this text expresses a personal perspective framed within some parameters, it is not a scientific article, of a medical, prescriptive or binding nature. It is also important to note that it was not intended to be an exhaustive analysis, in the future there will be new texts that will address other ways of looking at these same topics.
